Taher Merchant is an Indian ultra-endurance runner who became the first Indian man to finish the Everest Base Camp Ultra Marathon, a 60 km high-altitude race, in 2018. In 2021 he set out to become the first Indian to attempt the 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Grand Slam, a series of 250 km stage races across four deserts in a single year.
